Cairo Conference Demands Immediate End to Gaza War and Ensures Aid Flow

The Egyptian capital, Cairo, hosted an international conference to address the crisis in Gaza, with broad participation from the United Nations, aid organizations, and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa.

Participants stressed the urgent need for an immediate and comprehensive halt to Israeli aggression on Gaza and the opening of border crossings to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need. They called on the international community to assume its responsibility by pressuring Israel to comply with international law and de-escalate the ongoing conflict.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry reaffirmed Egypt’s readiness to receive and deliver large quantities of aid as soon as field conditions allow. Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya criticized international double standards and condemned Israel’s attempts to disrupt the work of UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees.

The conference emphasized that the continuation of the conflict without political solutions exacerbates the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and poses a threat to regional security and stability, urging intensified efforts to end the suffering of the Palestinian people.
