The fifth meeting of foreign ministers from China and Central Asian countries convened in Chengdu, with representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, chaired by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
The discussions focused on preparations for next year’s summit and strengthening regional cooperation in trade, agriculture, and security. Key initiatives included launching cross-border freight truck services and a new product exhibition center.
The meeting emphasized combating terrorism and extremism, supporting Afghanistan’s reconstruction, and aligning development strategies. Participants also agreed to enhance economic and cultural connectivity and develop green mining and education.
The session concluded with a collective commitment to multilateralism and fostering a fair and organized global system.
