Democratic Republic of the Congo Sees 131 Deaths Due to Unknown Disease

Health authorities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo reported on Thursday that the death toll from an unknown disease has risen to 131 people.
The Minister of Health in Kwango Province, Apollinaire Yumba, explained that medical teams had detected 60 additional deaths in two other villages. Additionally, 382 cases have been recorded, suffering from symptoms such as fever, headache, respiratory issues, and anemia.
The nature of the disease remains unclear, primarily affecting children under the age of fifteen. In this context, plans are in place to send more expert teams to the region to determine the nature of the disease and enhance preventive measures to curb its spread.
