The Rapid Support Forces announced on Thursday that they had halted the advance of the Sudanese army and its allied factions in an attempt to recapture the city of Wad Madani, the capital of Al-Jazeera state, after dozens were killed.
Meanwhile, supporters of the army intensified their claims that recapturing the city was a matter of time, describing the battle as one of the largest military operations by the army.
The Rapid Support Forces, however, managed to kill and injure many soldiers and seize weapons and vehicles.
