Former U.S. President Donald Trump met with French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Élysée Palace to discuss the conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, ahead of the Notre Dame Cathedral reopening ceremony.
This marks Trump’s first foreign visit since his election, as Macron and other European leaders seek to gain his support against Russia.
Trump emphasized the close relationship with Macron, expressing it was a “great honor” to be in France.
