The capital of Chad, N’Djamena, witnessed massive protests involving hundreds of citizens demanding the withdrawal of French troops.
Demonstrators chanted anti-French slogans such as “Chad is for us, France go away!” and held up signs calling for the departure of French soldiers.
This comes after the Chadian government announced the termination of the military cooperation agreement with Paris. France currently maintains about 1,000 troops in Chad, but the government has not specified a timeline for their withdrawal.
