Three Palestinian factions, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, announced on Saturday, following a meeting in Cairo, that reaching an agreement with the Israeli occupation regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip has become “closer than ever, provided that the Israeli state does not impose new conditions.”

Hamas confirmed in a statement that the delegations of the factions met in Cairo, emphasizing that “everyone is keen on stopping the war against our people.”
