The commander of the military coordination room, Ahmad al-Shar’a, known as Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, announced the appointment of engineer Marhaf Abu Qasra as the acting Minister of Defense in the Syrian Interim Government.

It is noteworthy that Abu Qasra holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering and has worked as a military capabilities engineer in the liberated areas since the beginning of the armed operations, leading most of the operations.

In a related context, all military factions have been integrated into a single entity under the management of the Ministry of Defense in the new Syrian army. This move aims to unify and organize military forces within an institutional framework.
