UN: Over 700 Civilians Killed in El Fasher, Sudan Due to Siege

The United Nations reported that more than 700 civilians have been killed in the city of El Fasher in North Darfur, Sudan, since May, as a result of intensive shelling.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, urged the Rapid Support Forces to end the siege imposed on the city, noting that “the ongoing fighting is devastating people’s lives on a massive scale every day.”
