The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed Saudi Arabia’s decision to resume its diplomatic mission in Kabul after more than three years of interruption.

The ministry expressed optimism about strengthening cooperation between the two countries, particularly in addressing the needs of Afghans in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the Saudi embassy confirmed that it would resume operations in Kabul starting December 22, 2024, though it did not specify the level of diplomatic representation.
