Iranian media outlets reported today, Tuesday, that flights from Iran to Syria will remain suspended until the end of January, following the fall of President Bashar al-Assad.
Hussein Borfarzan, the head of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization, stated that the flights will not resume before January 22, which is after the New Year’s holiday.
On the other hand, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that there has been no direct contact with the new Syrian leadership, and it issued a warning against traveling to Syria in light of these developments.
