New Syrian Authorities Burn One Million Captagon Pills and Other Drugs in Damascus

The new Syrian authorities announced on Wednesday the destruction of large quantities of drugs, including approximately one million Captagon pills, which were widely produced during the rule of ousted President Bashar al-Assad.
A source in the General Security Administration told AFP that security forces discovered a drug warehouse while sweeping the Kafr Sousa area in Damascus, within what was known as the “security square.” Another security source confirmed finding over a million Captagon pills, along with quantities of cannabis and tramadol, which were immediately incinerated.
