Extraordinary GCC meeting in Kuwait on the situation in Syria and Lebanon

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will hold an extraordinary ministerial meeting in Kuwait on Thursday to discuss developments in Syria and Lebanon.

GCC Secretary-General Jassim Al Badiwi said during the 46th extraordinary meeting of GCC foreign ministers in Kuwait: “We reiterate our support for whatever enhances the security and stability of Lebanon and Syria.

For his part, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali al-Yahya reiterated his country’s ‘full support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and rejection of foreign interference’, stressing that ‘Israeli aggression against Lebanon, Syria and the Palestinian territories must stop’.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan also arrived in Kuwait to attend the meeting.
