More bodies have been found after a bridge linking two northern Brazilian states collapsed four days ago, bringing the death toll to eight, Brazilian authorities said.
At least nine people are still missing, the Brazilian navy said. Cars and trucks crossing the Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira Bridge fell into a deep river after part of the bridge collapsed.
An investigation is underway, but the search in the river has been slow because of the risk of sulphuric acid leaking from one of the trucks, police and the Brazilian Roads Administration said.
