Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has arrived in Beijing for consultations with Chinese authorities, according to the Mehr news agency.

This is the first official visit to China by the foreign minister of the 14th government. He is expected to exchange views with Chinese officials on bilateral relations and the implementation of the Comprehensive Cooperation Programme, as well as discuss regional and international developments.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning announced today (Friday) that Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi will visit China on 27-28 December at the invitation of the Chinese side.
