Sudanese High School Exams Begin After Two-Year Hiatus Due to War

The Sudanese high school exams begin today, Saturday, after a two-year hiatus due to the war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces.
The exams will be held at several centers both inside and outside Sudan, with about 350,000 students participating, while 150,000 students will be absent.
The government has accused the Rapid Support Forces of obstructing the exams in eight states, considering it a violation of human rights.
Amid the country’s difficult conditions, a global organization has warned of the spread of famine in Sudan, with five regions currently suffering from famine, and expectations of worsening conditions between December 2024 and May 2025.
