Repsol, the Spanish company, returns to drilling in Libya’s Murzuq Basin after a 10-year hiatus

The Spanish company Repsol has restarted its exploratory operations in Libya’s Murzuq Basin after a 10-year hiatus, beginning the drilling of a new exploratory well on Tuesday.
The well, named “Mouhamal Nasr,” is located 800 kilometers from Tripoli and 12 kilometers from the Sharara oil field, with a final depth of 6,050 feet.
This comes after companies “Eni” and “BP” resumed their exploration activities in Libya last October.
