The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said a 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck the Tyrrhenian Sea off the western coast of Italy.

According to the center, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 377 kilometers.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage following the quake.
