The Belgian national team has been dealt a significant blow ahead of their upcoming UEFA Nations League match against Italy, with four key players being ruled out due to injuries.
In an official statement, the team confirmed that Charles De Ketelaere, Jeremy Doku, Malick Fofana, and Joaquin Sissons will miss the upcoming matches against Italy in Brussels and Israel in Budapest.
These absences come after the players sustained injuries recently, with Sissons suffering a calf injury while playing for his club, Club Brugge, which will prevent him from representing his country for the first time.
To cover for these absences, several new players have been called up, including Samuel Mbangula, Arthur Vermeeren, Albert Sambi Lokonga, and Kylian Sardella.
Under these challenging circumstances, Belgium is aiming for victory in the remaining two matches in Group B of League A, hoping to improve their position in the qualifiers and secure a spot in the quarter-finals.
The team faces stiff competition from Italy and France.
