U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Monday that there is a possibility that Ukraine could become Russian, a comment that the Kremlin responded to on Tuesday by noting that parts of Ukraine are already under Russian control.

Trump clarified that ending the war is one of his priorities, suggesting that the Ukrainians may reach an agreement or not.

He also reiterated his desire to obtain Ukrainian rare earth minerals in exchange for U.S. aid.

In contrast, the Kremlin expressed its willingness to engage in talks with Trump, while Kyiv fears any settlement that could benefit Russia.
