The Acting Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the “Interim National Unity Government,” Taher Baour, signed an agreement today, Thursday, to resume the African Union office’s operations in Tripoli after a 10-year hiatus.The signing coincided with the 14th anniversary of the February 17th Revolution.
The agreement was signed in the presence of the African Union Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Bankole Adeoye, and the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, during the 46th session of the African Union Executive Council.
In this context, the ministry confirmed that this step reflects Libya’s stability and contributes to enhancing diplomatic coordination to serve the interests of the Libyan people.
