NASA Delays Artemis Missions to Land on the Moon Until 2026

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson announced a new delay in the Artemis program, which aims to return astronauts to the Moon.
As a result, the lunar orbit mission has been postponed to April 2026, with the lunar landing mission now set for the following year.
This delay follows the completion of testing on the Orion capsule, designed by Lockheed Martin, which encountered issues with its heat shield during its re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere in 2022.
The Artemis program aims to establish a base on the Moon as a stepping stone for sending human missions to Mars.
