The United Nations Mission in Libya (UNMIL) announced on Sunday the formation of a technical committee of Libyan experts to identify key milestones and priorities for a consensus government to resolve the country’s political crisis.
This came in a video address by the Acting Head of the UN Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Khoury, released by the UN Mission on its electronic platforms on Sunday evening, in which she revealed the content of the UNSMIL-facilitated political process to resolve the Libyan crisis.
In her speech, Khoury said: “On Monday, we will announce the details of the UN-facilitated political process and share them with the Security Council.
The moves are part of efforts to lead Libya to elections to resolve the conflict between the Debiba government in the west and the Hammad government in the east.
