Hamas Considers Delay in Release of Palestinian Detainees a “Violation of Ceasefire Agreement”

On Saturday evening, Hamas stated that the Israeli occupation’s delay in releasing hundreds of Palestinian detainees after the release of six Israeli hostages is a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

It was scheduled to release more than 620 Palestinian detainees on Saturday, amid Israeli consultations with coalition government leaders regarding the extension of the first phase of the agreement related to Gaza before Thursday’s batch and the return of four deceased kidnapped individuals, as well as the withdrawal from the Philadelphi route.
