U.S. President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron held their first meeting at the White House on Monday since the start of Trump’s second term, with the Ukrainian issue being the main focus of discussions.

U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz described the meeting as “excellent,” while Macron confirmed France’s readiness to provide security guarantees for Ukraine.

This meeting follows recent U.S. actions that have caused discontent in Europe and Ukraine.

Trump stated on his platform “Truth Social” that talks to end the war are going very well, highlighting serious discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
