At least 29 people were killed on Tuesday when heavy rains and hailstorms hit two provinces in southwestern Afghanistan, local officials said.
A hailstorm killed 21 people and injured six in Farah province, said Mohammad Israel Sayyar, an official with the local disaster management department, AFP reported.

The disaster management department counted eight women and children killed by heavy rains in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province, he added.
