US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to apologise following his verbal altercation with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
In an interview with CNN on Saturday, he added that Zelensky owed an apology and that the Ukrainian president should not behave like this.
He (Zelensky) should apologise for turning this into a disaster for him,” he said.
In an interview with Fox News after the tense meeting, Zelensky said he respected President Donald Trump and Americans and had done nothing wrong to apologise.
The meeting between Trump and Zelensky at the White House on Friday night was tense as the two leaders engaged in a heated discussion in front of the cameras.
