Authorities reported that Cyclone Garansy has resulted in the deaths of four people on the French island of Réunion.

The cyclone, which struck the island located in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar on Friday, caused widespread damage to roofs and disrupted electricity and water supplies for many residents.

Over 160,000 people are facing power outages as the cyclone continues to wreak havoc on the island.
