One person was killed, and nine others were injured on Saturday due to clashes between security forces affiliated with the new Syrian authority and local Druze militants in the suburb of Jaramana near Damascus, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
In this context, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the Israeli army to prepare “to defend the city” with a Druze majority.
The Israeli occupation confirmed that it would not allow “the new extremist regime in Syria to harm the Druze.”
