British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on Sunday that the United Kingdom and France will work with Ukraine to develop a ceasefire plan to be presented to the United States.
This initiative came after a phone call between Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, following a tense meeting in the Oval Office between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump, which strained relations between Kyiv and Washington.
Starmer emphasized that “no one wants this conflict to continue,” highlighting the importance of establishing a clear line to stop the fighting with strong guarantees to maintain it.
