Denmark on Wednesday rejected US President Donald Trump’s pledge to Congress to take control of Greenland ‘one way or another’.
Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen told public broadcaster DR that “this will not happen,” adding that “the direction in which Greenland will go will be decided by the Greenlanders,” noting that Trump had expressed support for the inhabitants of the Danish autonomous island to decide their fate, according to AFP.
