Ukraine Confirms Withdrawal of Forces from Sudzha Following Russian Control of the Area

On Sunday, the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed the withdrawal of its forces from the city of Sudzha in Russia’s Kursk region, days after Moscow announced its control over the area.

Despite the lack of an official statement, updated maps shared by the Ukrainian General Staff on social media indicated a complete withdrawal from the city.

This development comes amid intensified Russian military operations following a surprise Ukrainian incursion across the border in August 2024.
