Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has commenced official talks in Paris with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, marking his first visit to a Western country since taking office.
The discussions focused on economic reforms, support for reconstruction efforts, and the future of stability in Lebanon.
This visit coincided with an escalation of Israeli occupation and the bombing of a neighborhood in southern Beirut.
Macron deemed the Israeli bombardment “unjustified” and a clear violation of the ceasefire, emphasizing support for Lebanon in maintaining its sovereignty.
