US Airstrikes Target Houthi Positions in Marib as Leader Promises Surprises

Our correspondent reports a series of US airstrikes targeting various Houthi positions in the districts of Abdiya and Majzar in Marib province, northeastern Yemen.

In a televised speech, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Houthi group, stated that these attacks enhance their military capabilities, asserting that “the American enemy will not be able to destroy our support for Gaza or target Israeli shipping.” He also warned of “upcoming surprises from the Yemeni armed forces.”

On Friday, the Houthi group announced that US airstrikes had targeted the capital, Sana’a, and surrounding areas.
