Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced Monday that 60 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in a missile strike targeting a Ukrainian military command center in the northeastern city of Sumy on Sunday.
According to the statement, Russian forces launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles at the headquarters of the “Siversk” tactical group, resulting in heavy casualties.
Moscow accused Kyiv of using civilians as human shields by placing military sites in densely populated areas. Ukrainian authorities have not yet officially responded to the allegations.
