The Presidency of Somalia announced that President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will visit Addis Ababa today, Saturday, at the invitation of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations based on an agreement reached between the two countries in Ankara last month.
The visit aims to strengthen cooperation in areas of peace and development in the Horn of Africa.
The agreement also allows Ethiopia to benefit from Somalia’s coastlines instead of establishing a base in the separatist region of Somaliland.
