Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that the expert-level talks, initially scheduled for Wednesday, have been postponed to next Saturday following a proposal from the Sultanate of Oman, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
In an official statement, the ministry said: “The expert-level talks originally planned for Wednesday have been postponed to Saturday at the suggestion of Oman,” adding that the technical discussions will coincide with the presence of the heads of the Iranian and U.S. delegations.
The announcement comes amid heightened anticipation over the future of indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington, as diplomatic momentum slows and regional tensions persist.
Earlier today, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized that Iran has no intention of conducting negotiations in public, underscoring the country’s preference for closed-door diplomacy.
