India Approves €6.5 Billion Deal for Rafale Fighter Jets

The Indian Ministry of Defence announced on Monday its approval of a €6.5 billion deal to purchase 26 French Rafale fighter jets for its naval forces.

This new deal complements a previous agreement signed by New Delhi in 2016 for 36 Rafale jets worth over €8 billion, which remains the most profitable military aviation deal for France to date.

This comes amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
