Israeli Occupation Launches Over 20 Airstrikes on Syria

The Israeli occupation continued its aerial assault on Syria on Saturday, carrying out more than 20 airstrikes targeting various areas in Daraa, Rural Damascus, and Hama, in what the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights described to AFP as “the most violent strikes since the beginning of the year.”

This latest wave of attacks comes just days after a previous Israeli airstrike near the presidential palace in Damascus, marking a continued escalation of military aggression against the Arab republic.

According to the official Syrian news agency SANA, a civilian was martyred in an Israeli air raid on the outskirts of Harasta, in Rural Damascus, adding that the strikes also caused significant material damage.

This escalation represents one of the most intense Israeli bombing campaigns in 2025 so far, amid repeated international silence and ongoing Syrian calls for global action to halt these violations of national sovereignty and international law.
