The Israeli army has announced the killing of a Palestinian leader during an operation in Balata Camp near Nablus.

At the same time, the Red Crescent reported that the forces injured and arrested Abu Lail, one of the leaders of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.

This comes amid rising tensions in the West Bank, where more than 850 Palestinians have been killed since October 7.
