Oman to Host Fourth Round of Indirect U.S.-Iran Nuclear Talks on Sunday

Oman announced on Friday that it will host the fourth round of indirect nuclear talks between the United States and Iran on Sunday in Muscat, according to a statement by Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi.

In a post on the X platform, Al-Busaidi said, “Following coordination with Iran and the United States, the fourth round of negotiations will begin on Sunday, May 11, in Muscat,” without providing further details about the agenda or participants.

The talks were initially scheduled to be held in Rome last Saturday, but Al-Busaidi announced a postponement due to logistical reasons, confirming that efforts to facilitate the talks had continued in coordination with both parties.

The upcoming round of talks comes amid heightened regional and international tensions over Iran’s nuclear program, with expectations that the negotiations will focus on de-escalation measures and defining mutual commitments.
