Libya: Death of the head of the Stability Support Apparatus and suspension of air traffic at Mitiga Airport

The head of the Stability Support Apparatus in western Libya, Abdul Ghani al-Kakli, loyal to the Dbeibeh government, was killed during a shootout south of the capital, Tripoli.

Local sources reported gunfire in various parts of the city. In related news, the administration of Mitiga International Airport announced a complete suspension of air traffic, redirecting incoming flights to Misrata Airport.
