Voters in Romania cast their ballots on Sunday in the runoff of the presidential elections, where far-right leader George Simion is competing against pro-European candidate Nicolae Dan.

The elections follow political controversy regarding the cancellation of the first round due to allegations of Russian interference.

Additionally, over half a million Romanians abroad voted through temporary polling stations.
