Seventeen people, including six children, lost their lives in a fire that broke out in a residential and commercial building near the historic “Charminar” monument in Hyderabad, southern India.

The fire rapidly spread from the ground floor to the upper floors, prompting the deployment of 12 firefighting vehicles to control the blaze.
