Syrian Defense Minister Maref Abu Qusra has given small armed factions that have not yet joined the military a deadline of no more than 10 days, urging them to surrender their weapons and integrate into the army.

He emphasized that factions that do not comply with this request will face “unspecified measures.”

This move comes as an attempt to strengthen state authority following the fall of Assad, while tensions and security challenges continue in the country.
