The arrival of pilgrims to Mina for the Day of Tarwiyah was completed on Wednesday, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The Hajj season has commenced in Mecca amid high temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, with the number of pilgrims exceeding 1.4 million.

Saudi authorities have strengthened their precautionary measures to avoid a repeat of last year’s disaster, deploying more than 250,000 personnel and coordinating among over 40 government agencies to ensure the safety of the pilgrims.
