The Israeli occupation army announced on Friday the death of 5 soldiers and the injury of others in an ambush targeting a special forces unit inside a booby-trapped building in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.
Reports indicated that the ambush targeted a unit of 12 soldiers, as the building collapsed on them after it was detonated, with news suggesting that soldiers are still trapped under the rubble.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the execution of two qualitative operations in Khan Younis, in addition to a “complex” ambush east of the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in casualties among the Israeli army.
