The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Friday that Palestinian factions are fully prepared for a prolonged war of attrition against Israeli forces.

In a recorded video statement, Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for Al-Qassam, revealed that during recent weeks, the group attempted several operations aimed at capturing Israeli soldiers. However, he claimed that the Israeli military “resorted to killing its own soldiers en masse when it suspected they might be taken captive.”

The statement, published via the Al-Qassam Brigades’ official Telegram channel, marks Abu Ubaida’s first public appearance since March 6.

He emphasized that the resistance is committed to continuing the fight for as long as it takes, amid intensifying hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
