Morocco’s women’s national football team secured a spot in the semifinals of the 2025 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AFCON) after defeating Mali 3–1 in a quarterfinal match held on Friday at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.

Backed by a large home crowd, the Moroccan side delivered an impressive performance, maintaining their unbeaten run in the tournament and reinforcing their status as one of the title contenders.

With this win, Morocco will face the winner of Sunday’s quarterfinal clash between Algeria and Ghana in the semifinals.

In another quarterfinal, Nigeria became the first team to qualify for the last four after a commanding 5–0 victory over Zambia. The Super Falcons will meet the winner of the upcoming match between South Africa and Senegal.
