Libya’s PM Dbeibeh Proposes $70 Billion Economic Partnership to Trump Adviser

Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibeh on Wednesday proposed a $70 billion strategic economic partnership with the United States during a meeting with Massad Boulos, adviser to former U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to Libya’s official “Hakomitna” platform, the meeting took place in Tripoli and focused on potential cooperation in energy, minerals, infrastructure, healthcare, and telecommunications.

Dbeibeh expressed the unity government’s commitment to fostering economic ties with the U.S. and opening Libya’s development and investment opportunities to major American companies.

The Libyan delegation presented a detailed proposal outlining the components of the $70 billion partnership, part of broader efforts to attract foreign investment and support the country’s reconstruction drive.
